Pinch valves

Bio-Chem Fluidics pinch valves allow flow passage through flexible tubing which is "pinched off" to produce a tight seal. The replaceable tubing is the only component that comes into contact with the fluid, thus making this type of valve particularly suitable for applications requiring frequent flow path change. The product range includes 2-way normally closed and normally open, 3-way, dual tube 2-way, dual tube 3-way and multi-channel models.Important advantages of this valve type are:

• Unobstructed flow path meaning minimal pressure drop - crucial for control of downstream instruments
• Soft but durable tubing - high tolerance of particulates in the fluid stream
• Zero dead volume
• Media contact only to tubing
• Quiet function: valves with a "Q" in the part number enable reduction of the noise level from ~75 dB (A) to <50 dB (A).

Tubing: our pinch valves are factory fitted with tubing as follows:

• 075 and 100 NO/NC series:        1 x 305mm
• 075 and 100 MP series:              2 x 152mm joined by a Y-connector
• 100PD NC series:                       2 x 305mm
• 100PD MP series:                       4 x 152mm joined by Y-connectors
• 108P 6/8 series:                          6 or 8 x 305mm

Mounting options: at the bottom of each individual valve page there are links to the various mounting options. You can access them either individually or, by clicking on the "Display accessory details", simultaneously with the product of choice on just one page. Valves with an "M" at the end of the part number have two mounting holes but can, nevertheless, be used with the other mounting options if required.

Life expectancy: data are based on the test conditions medium = water, temperature = ambient:

• Pinch valves:                2,000,000 cycles
• Silicon tubing (type S): 500,000 cycles
• C-Flex tubing (type B): 350,000 cycles
